Google Sites
Google sites is a website creation tool which is easy-to-use and has a friendly user-interface. Though not actually a learning management system, you organize content, share, learning materials, and post assessments in an interface learners are accustomed to.
CREATING A LEARNING PLATFORM IN GOOGLE SITES
- Go to https://sites.google.com/
- Start a NEW SITE or select from TEMPLATES available.
- In the THEMES tab, select and customize your site's visual appeal
- In the PAGES tab, you may create various webpages and tabs in your website. Suggested pages are
- Course overview (course background, objectives, syllabus)
- Week's Module (module for the week, assessment for the week)
- Module (collection of all modules)
- Assessment (collection of all exercises, quiz, etc)
- Note: You may make each tab visible and hidden
- In the INSERT tab, you may add various content by drag/select-and-drop feature. Google sites allows you to add text, image, borders, buttons, lists, dividers, etc. You can also integrate google slides, docs, sheets, forms, drive, and PDF in your site.
- Before publishing the site, you may PREVIEW it.
- PUBLISH the site
- Select an extension/URL to make your site aligned with your course
- Select accessibility of your site. It can be for up.edu.ph users only, or for public.
