The UPLB Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) team, headed by Director Marion Lux Y. Castro, with University Extension Specialist Ms. Beverly R. Pabro and Jr Design Specialist Mr. Joel Anthony T. Cardenas, took part in the conference titled “Harnessing EdTech 5.0 as a Catalyst for Sustainable and Transformative Innovations,” held at the University of Santo Tomas on May 15–16, 2025.

The conference and exhibit were jointly organized by the UST Office of ICT–Educational Technology Center, C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions (C&E ALS), and the Philippine eLearning Society (PeLS). It explored the transformative potential of EdTech 5.0 in driving sustainable innovation in education. Thought leaders, experts, and industry stakeholders gathered to share insights on how emerging technologies can enhance teaching and learning—fostering experiences that are not only effective but also environmentally sustainable and socially responsible.
