The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) wrapped-up it’s training-workshop on Learning Object (LO) Development last 29 April 2024 through a lively discussion with Dr. Edmund Centeno, CATL Director, and Assistant Professor Renen Szilardo de Guzman, from the Department of Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship. They covered the final topics on LO Production by giving participants a hands-on overview of the various online tools that they could use to produce their learning objects.

Asst. Prof de Guzman shared his expertise in using Canva, a cloud-based design platform used to create social media graphics, presentations, and training videos; Miro, a digital collaboration platform designed to facilitate remote and distributed team communication and project management; and GSites, a collection of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools, software and products developed and marketed by Google.

CATL Director Dr. Edmund G. Centeno closed the event by letting the participants present their works on the LOs that they plan to produce. This also allowed them to get further feedback and suggestions based on the knowledge and skills that they have gained from the training sessions. This also opened up further insights, alternative strategies, and possible areas for more in-depth training topics.
