UPLB Establishes Committee on Teaching and Learning

The University of the Philippines Los Baños recently formed the Committee on Teaching and Learning (CTL) to further promote the advancement of educational experiences in the university.

Dr. Edmund Centeno, director of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) will lead CTL while Asst. Prof. Roselle V. Collado will serve as the co-chair. CTL will be composed of subcommittees namely Pedagogy and Technology Section, Instructional Material Production Section, Assessment and Evaluation Section, and Knowledge Management Section.

These four subcommittees will be 1.) recommending activities to support faculty and students in remote teaching and learning as well as assessment-related activities; 2.) assisting in the planning and implementation of CATL programs and activities; 3.) serving as the focal person for the CATL in their home unit; 4.) implementing needs assessments toward the improvement of teaching and learning in their home unit; 5.) coordinating CATL activities and programs specific to their home unit; and 6.) preparing reports on the abovementioned activities and present them to the UPLB administration, as needed.

CTL is formed through administrative order 129-2022 and will be doing its functions from April 2022 until March 2023.
